Brittain holds the distinction of being one of the first individuals to recommend that Amazon acquire Whole Foods. He has lived and worked in India, China, Saudi Arabia, Africa, Europe, SE Asia, Brazil and Russia.
Brittain is a globally recognized thought leader in supply chain management and business and his comments and articles are frequently quoted in major publications globally including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and The Financial Times. Brittain is a sought after keynote speaker and has appeared on CNBC, Fox Business, and has been interviewed by the Chinese media, the BBC, and most recently, NHK, Japan’s leading media company. Prior to Amazon, Brittain held multiple strategy and delivery roles at Deloitte, and lead supply chain and logistics operations for Dell.
Brittain holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business & Political Science from Drake University; a Master of Business Administration as part of a dual program between Baker College and The Pennsylvania State University; a Master of Supply Chain Management from The Pennsylvania State University; a Master of Science in Merchandising from North Dakota State University; and certifications in the Toyota Production System (TPS) and as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
